Thousands of dollars stolen from Royal Show stall

Police have released a computer generated image of a man involved in a theft at the Royal Adelaide Show earlier in the month.

Just before 8pm on Tuesday 6 September a man approached a staff member at the Country Women’s Association café and demanded cash.

The staff member placed money in the suspect’s dark blue coloured backpack and then he left the area on foot, through the showgrounds and out of sight.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident and no weapons were sighted.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40’s and about 165cm tall with grey/black facial hair. The man had a distinctive horizontal scar above his left eyebrow and tattoos on his left forearm. He was wearing black jeans a black top with Led Zepplin on the front and a green cap. He was carrying a blue backpack which the money was placed into.
