Threats with firearm – Howard Springs

Northern Territory Police are seeking information from the public who may have witnessed an incident in Howard Springs on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 3:30pm, an incident on Gunn Point Road occurred involving a male offender who, following a dispute earlier in the day, threatened two victims with a long-arm rifle.

The victims, a male and a female, sought refuge in their vehicle, when they were chased in a 4WD. The male offender has allegedly deliberately rammed the victims’ vehicle twice.

A female offender has thrown a rock through the vehicle’s windshield. Police attended the scene however, upon arrival the offenders had fled.

Police from the Tactical Response Group and the Serious Crime Squad arrested a 40-year-old male and female just prior to midday today. A search was conducted of a residence with police seizing a rifle, assorted ammunition and other prohibited weapons.
