Three boys injured after car rolls, NSW

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash in Molong in the state’s Central West today.

About 5pm (Monday 22 April 2019), a 17-year-old boy and his two brothers where in a vehicle heading east on Rutherford Road, Molong, when the vehicle lost control and hit a tree.

The vehicle rolled and ejected the 17-year-old boy – who police believe was driving – causing him to become trapped under the car.

His two brothers managed to free themselves from the car and run for help.

Assistance came from several adults at a nearby property who released the boy from the car and administered first aid.

The two boys, aged 17 and 11, were air-lifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead suffering cuts and abrasions; they remain stable.

The 12-year-old boy was taken to Orange Health Service suffering lower leg injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Inquiries inti the crash will continue by officers from Central West Police District.
