Three charged over Wakeley public order incident – Strike Force Dribs

Three additional people have been charged, with two appearing in court today, over their roles in the Wakeley public order incident last month.

Following ongoing investigators by officers attached to Strike Force Dribs, a search warrant was executed at a Greenacre home on Tuesday 30 April 2024, with investigators seizing clothing and a mobile phone seized.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with hinder police officer in the execution of duty and fail to comply with direction under Part 14

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 6 June 2024.

Following further inquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested at Kearns about 7.20am today (Friday 10 May 2028).

A search warrant was executed at a home on Amazon Place, with investigators seizing clothing and a mobile phone seized.

A 28-year-old woman after she attended Fairfield Police Station just before 8.30am today (Friday 10 May 2024).

He was charged with riot and unlawful assembly.

She was charged with public disorder – more than three people threaten violence cause fear, unlawful assembly and hinder police in execution of duty.

They were both refused bail to appear today (Friday 10 May 2024), with the man to appear in Campbelltown Local Court and the woman in Fairfield Local Court

Seventh people have now been charged as investigations under Strike Force Dribs continue.
