Three Finks OMCG members charged with consorting, NSW

Three members of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) have been charged with consorting following a targeted operation by Criminal Groups Squad investigators.

As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of criminal networks, officers from the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad commenced an investigation under Strike Force Ares into illicit activities across Sydney.

Acting on information, detectives, with assistance from Strike Force Raptor, executed six search warrants at homes at Rosemeadow, Oakhurst, Whalan, Mount Annan and Shalvey from 6.30am today (Wednesday 1 July 2020).

During the searches, officers seized mobile phones, clothing, an electronic stun device, cannabis and an amount of MDMA.

All items seized will be subject to further examination.

Three men – aged 32, 36 and 38 – were arrested during the operation and charged with habitually consort with convicted offenders after warning.

The 32-year-old Whalan man, who is a Finks OMCG member, was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and issued a court attendance notice to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday 12 August 2020.

The 36-year-old Mount Annan man, who is a Finks OMCG member, was taken to Narellan Police Station and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 14 July 2020.

The 38-year-old man, who is a Finks OMCG senior member, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 3 August 2020.

Investigations under Strike Force Ares are continuing.
