Three people injured in crash north of Canberra, NSW

Two men and a woman have been injured after a multiple vehicle crash near Bungendore, north of Canberra this afternoon.

Around 4.30pm (Friday 18 October 2019), two vehicles and a truck have collided on the Kings Highway, four kilometres south of the intersection of the Kings Highway and Goulburn Road.

The driver of the truck stopped briefly after the crash before leaving the scene. He was last seen travelling east on the Kings Highway towards Braidwood. The truck is described as a flat-bed truck with possibly a small crane on the back.

A male in his 30’s had to be cut from the wreckage of one of the vehicles. He is currently in a stable condition. A 32 year-old man and a female in her 30’s sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

All were taken to Canberra Hospital, with the male in his 30’s having to be airlifted from the scene.

Inquiries into the events leading up to the crash are continuing.

Officers from the Monaro Police District are appealing for anyone who might have been travelling on the Kings Highway this afternoon and have dash cam footage of the crash to contact them.
