Three teenagers have been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Sydney’s east last month.
In July 2026, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation after reports a teenage girl had allegedly been sexually assaulted.
As part of the investigations, police were told that on the evening of Wednesday 22 July 2026, a 14-year-old girl had allegedly been sexually assaulted by three teenage boys in an alley way in the Eastern Suburbs.
Following extensive inquiries, police executed search warrants at several homes in the Eastern Suburbs, about 7.30am today (Thursday 13 August 2026).
During the search warrants, officers located and seized a number of electronic devices which will undergo forensic examination.
Police also seized two replica firearms, a Glock style BB gun, three laser pointers and a number plate – believed to have been allegedly stolen – from one of the homes. All of these items will also undergo forensic examination.
Following the search warrants, three boys – one aged 13 and two aged 14 – were arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
Both the 13-year-old and one 14-year-old were charged with aggravated sex assault-offender in company with others, and aggravated sexually touch another person (two counts).
The other 14-year-old was charged with aggravated sex assault-offender in company with others, and aggravated sexually touch another person.
They were all granted strict conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
