Time To Secure Your Tennis Tickets

Tasmanian Government

Hobart is set to serve up another great summer tennis tournament.

Minister for Sport and Events, Nic Street, said people need to get in early.

“Tickets for the 30th anniversary Hobart International Tennis Tournament go on sale today,” Minister Street said.

“After the overwhelming success of the previous summer’s event, the 2025 edition is one not to be missed.

“Judging from last year, it’s going to be important to jump in and secure your tickets.”

The Hobart International is a staple on our State’s busy summer events calendar.

“This tournament has a strong reputation for unearthing rising stars,” Minister Street said.

“The Tasmanian Government is a proud and long-time supporter of this summer highlight, having invested a total of $1.5 million from 2023 to 2027 to ensure the tournament’s ongoing success.

“There are more than 40 tennis clubs across the State, home to nearly 4000 members, and we know Tasmanians get inspired by the Hobart International to pick up a racket and get moving.

“This event allows Tasmanians to see the very best in action right here at home and getting your tickets now will ensure you won’t miss out.”

In previous years, the WTA tennis tour event has attracted global stars such as Serena Williams in 2007, Sam Stosur in 2014 and 2020, Eugenie Bouchard in 2016 and Ash Barty in 2017.

“We cannot wait to see who will take to our courts for the event’s 30th year,” Minister Street said.

A key part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future is about world-class attracting events that boost the State’s economy, which is what the Hobart International does.

The Hobart International will be held from January 4-11.
