Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a commercial structure fire burning near Flinders and Denham Streets, Townsville. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and smoke may affect the area. Residents are asked to close windows and doors, and if suffering from a respiratory condition keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive to conditions and avoid the area if possible.
