Police from Ararat Crime Investigation Unit, Warracknabeal and Murtoa have arrested and charged a man following the discovery of an alleged hidden camera yesterday.
It is understood a 39-year-old female victim located a recording device in the ceiling of a her bedroom at her Warracknabeal residence and contacted police.
Police executed a search warrant at a second Warracknabeal address and arrested the 51-year-old Warracknabeal man, a tradesman who had previously undertaken works at the victim’s address, a short time later.
The man has been charged with stalking and bailed to appear before the Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 16 December.
