The Work Health and Safety (Traffic Control Training) Regulation was made on 20 December 2019.
The NSW Government has resolved that traffic control training will be regulated by SafeWork NSW.
The new regulatory scheme will commence from 1 July 2020.
Until 1 July, those who engage in traffic control work will continue to undertake training and assessment through Registered Training Organisations and make application to be issued with a TFNSW (formerly RMS) Photocard.
RMS Photocards will be recognised as Traffic Control Training Cards from 1 July 2020 until the date of their expiry. If you hold an RMS Photocard then you will be eligible to apply for a replacement Traffic Control Training Card under the new scheme.
