Traffic stop leads to two arrests, South Australia

Two men have been arrested after stolen property and ammunition was located in a vehicle at Park Holme this morning.

Just before 2am on Tuesday 30 April, a Southern District patrol saw a vehicle on Oaklands Road and stopped it for a random driver test.

Police will allege they saw a knife in the console and in the back seat of the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle located approximately 300 rounds of ammunition and suspected stolen property including tools in the boot.

A 32-year-old man from Flagstaff Hill and a 24-year-old man from Christie Downs were arrested and charged with unlawful possession, weapon and ammunition offences and breach of bail. It is suspected both men will be refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrate Court later today.
