Transdev bus disruptions

Vic Department of Transport

Services will be disrupted on 13 metropolitan bus routes over the coming days, as around 100 Transdev drivers isolate to help contain the spread of coronavirus.

There have been two positive tests for COVID-19 among operational staff based at the North Fitzroy and Doncaster depots.

From Monday, the number of services operating on some routes will be reduced, with buses running at the following frequency:

  • Route 200 – City to Bulleen, 30 minutes
  • Route 202 – Yarra Bend to Melbourne University, 25 minutes
  • Route 234 – Garden City to Queen Victoria Market, 30 minutes
  • Route 235 – Fisherman’s Bend to Queen Victoria Market (via Williamstown Road), 30 minutes
  • Route 236 – Garden City to Queen Victoria Market (via City), 60 minutes
  • Route 237 – Fisherman’s Bend to Queen Victoria Market (via Lorimer Street), 60 minutes
  • Route 246 – Elsternwick to Clifton Hill (via St Kilda), 30 minutes
  • Route 250 – La Trobe University to City, 40 minutes
  • Route 251 – Northland SC to City, 40 minutes
  • Route 350 – City to La Trobe University via Eastern Freeway, 60 minutes.

All other routes will operate to the regular timetable, except routes 303 and 903, which will have a significant number of cancellations in the morning and afternoon peak periods.

There will be no services operating on Route 318 City to Deep Creek.

Passengers making essential journeys should check the PTV website or mobile app for details about service cancellations.

For many journeys, metropolitan train or tram services will help passengers connect with buses.

Transdev will endeavour to provide as regular a service as possible across the affected routes.
