A Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) located in the Hutton Street car park behind the Kyneton Town Hall will be removed due to public safety concerns.
An independent arborist recently assessed the tree and recommended it be removed.
The tree, which is within close proximity to buildings and several parking spaces, was found to be in very poor condition, with exposed damaged roots, internal decay and dead branches throughout the canopy.
The tree will be removed during September. Properties on Jennings Street with rear access via the car park will still be able to access their properties during this time.
