Trident raid uncovers stolen vehicles, drugs and weapons

Strike Force Trident detectives have recovered multiple stolen vehicles and seized drugs, weapons and cash following the execution of a search warrant at a Berrimah residence on Wednesday.

Police executed the warrant after receiving information indicating stolen property and illicit drugs were being stored at the residence.

Strike Force Trident detectives, supported by the Dog Operations Unit, searched the property and allegedly located methamphetamine, ammunition, an imitation hand grenade, several offensive weapons and more than $1,700 in cash.

During the search, investigators also located and seized multiple stolen motor vehicles, e-bikes and electric scooters that had allegedly been concealed and stored at the residence.

Two men, aged 51 and 48, were arrested and charged with multiple drug and stolen property offences. Three other people located at the residence were issued notices to appear for drug-related offences.

Detective Senior Sergeant Darren Burns said the result highlighted the importance of information provided to police.

“This was a good result off the back of valuable intelligence, allowing our detectives to recover a significant amount of stolen property and disrupt further alleged offending.

“Recovering these items means we can now work to return them to their rightful owners.

“We encourage anyone with information about stolen property or other offending to continue reporting it to police.”
