The Federal Highway at Sutton is expected to be closed for about another three hours after a truck fire.
About 10.25pm (Wednesday 30 January 2019) a semi-trailer carrying motor oil and paper was travelling south on the Federal Highway, near Sutton, when a fire took hold under the trailer.
The vehicle stopped and the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Oil was spilt on to the roadway.
The 49-year-old male driver escaped uninjured.
Police and emergency services attended the scene and the southbound lanes remain closed whilst the operation continues.
Traffic is diverted via the Old Federal Highway.
