The City of Greater Bendigo is again providing an opportunity for residents to get their hands on some bargain priced 2026 Bloom Festival tulip bulbs for one day only at the Conservatory Gardens between 8am and 11am on Thursday October 15.
A limited number of bulbs will also be available at the Heathcote Visitor Centre from 9am on October 15 until sold out.
City of Greater Bendigo parks and Open Space Manager Tyrone Downie said this year residents will purchase up to four empty bags on entry to the Conservatory Gardens and then fill them from the bulk piles of bulbs that will be available.
“City staff have already dug up the bulbs so this will allow participants to fill the bags they purchase upon entry to the Conservatory Gardens,” Mr Downie said.
“Due to the popularity of this event there will be a four-bag limit, with bags supplied by the City on entry at a cost of $8 per bag.
“Each bag should fit about 20 bulbs making them excellent value for money.
“It is also a cashless event with payment by EFTPOS only.
“This will be the only opportunity to obtain some of this years tulip bulbs so it will be a case of first in first served.”
