Detectives from the Whittlesea Crime Investigation unit have arrested two males after a series of incidents in the Whittlesea area this morning.
It is alleged the two men, travelling in a purple Holden Commodore were involved in:
• an attempted carjacking outside a shopping centre on Childs Road in Mill Park
• two attempted carjackings in the vicinity of a primary school on Blamey Avenue in Mill Park
• an attempted carjacking at a 7 Eleven on Childs Road, Mill Park between 8.15am and 9am
A short time later, the Commodore was seen driving erratically at various locations through Bundoora and Mill Park.
This vehicle was located at a shopping centre carpark on McDonalds Road in South Morang, before it was intercepted and two males were quickly arrested just after 9am.
A 42-year-old Pascoe Vale man and an 18-year-old Bundoora man were arrested and will be interviewed by police.
Earlier today, the white Holden utility was allegedly involved in an evade with police in Jubilee Crescent in Bundoora just before 8.15am.
Police allege that the two men swapped from the white Holden utility to the purple Commodore during the course of the above alleged offending.
Investigators believe the offenders may have been involved in multiple collisions or dangerous driving behaviour in the Bundoora and Mill Park area today.
