Two arrested during police operation, NSW

An investigation is underway after the discharge of a police firearm during an operation on Sydney’s North Shore this afternoon.

About 4.20pm (Monday 12 April 2021), officers from North Shore Police Area Command were conducting a police operation at Neutral Bay when they attempted to stop a vehicle in a carpark on Grosvenor Lane.

Initial reports suggest the car was driven at the officers, before police discharged a firearm.

The vehicle’s windscreen was damaged, before the car hit a bollard and stopped.

Two men were arrested at the scene and will be taken to Chatswood Police Station.

No one was physically injured during the incident.
