Two arrested following extensive operation across the Gold Coast and Logan

Police have successfully located a vehicle stolen from a Surfers Paradise address earlier today, April 3, following an extensive operation across the Gold Coast and Logan.

Initial investigations indicate the Mercedes was taken at approximately 4.45am following a burglary where two males armed with a weapon entered a property.

The pair took a key and left the scene with the vehicle.

The Mercedes was later sighted on the Gold Coast at approximately 8.30am, and Polair began monitoring the vehicle.

The vehicle was located at an address in Belviah at 12.35pm, and the driver was located soon after.

While conducting investigations, police discovered a second vehicle, which is suspected to have been stolen earlier from Runaway Bay.

Two people are in police custody. No further details are available at this time.
