Two boys charged following property offences – Brisbane, Gold Coast and Logan

Detectives from Upper Mount Gravatt Crime Team have charged two boys following an extensive investigation into property offences across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Logan.

Police will allege the pair entered a number of properties armed with machetes on 11 and 12 June, involving break and enters, vehicle thefts and stealing offences.

It is further alleged the two boys entered multiple premises and dwellings using a stolen Honda Civic, Santa Fe and Lexus.

A 15-year-old Logan Central boy has been charged with five counts of attempting to enter dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence whilst armed, four counts each of burglary, attempting to enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, robbery, and one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence whilst armed, stealing, dangerous operation of a vehicle.

A 14-year-old Logan Central boy was charged with five counts of attempting to enter dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence whilst armed, four counts each of burglary, attempting to enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, robbery, and one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence whilst armed, stealing, dangerous operation of a vehicle.

They have both been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Brisbane Childrens Court on 23 June.
