Two charged over alleged property offences – Port Macquarie

A man and woman will face court today charged over alleged property offences.

About 5am today (Thursday 7 November 2024), Mid North Coast Police attended an area of bushland on Matthew Flinders Drive, Port Macquarie, in relation to an ongoing investigation.

At the site, a 38-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

Police will allege in court that the pair were involved in several break and enter offences in the Port Macquarie and Lake Cathie areas in recent months.

The man was charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, three counts of goods suspected stolen in/on premises, enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.

Three outstanding warrants were also executed for further alleged property, driving, weapon and drug offences.

The woman was charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, three counts of goods suspected stolen in/on premises, enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime, and breach of bail.

Both were refused bail to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Thursday 7 November 2024).
