Two in court on multiple drug-supply charges in South

A man and woman will appear in court today charged with drug offences after a search warrant was executed on the state’s Mid North Coast yesterday.

Just before 6.30am (Thursday 14 May 2020), officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Government Road, South West Rocks.

Officers seized 63g of heroin, 58g of cannabis, more than $2600 in cash, mobile phones and other drug paraphernalia.

The estimated potential street value of the drugs is almost $30,000.

A man, aged 36, and a woman, aged 27, were arrested at the scene and taken to Kempsey Police Station.

The man was charged with 26 counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, organises/conducts etc drug premises expose child, dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception, deal with property proceeds of crime (less than $100,000), supply prohibited drug (indictable), and possess prohibited drug.

The woman was charged with 26 counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, organises/conducts etc drug premises expose child, dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception, deal with property proceeds of crime (less than $100,000), supply prohibited drug (indictable), and two counts of possess prohibited drug.

Both were refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 15 May 2020).

The search warrant was executed as part of Strike Force Kirkwood that was established in November 2019 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs on the Mid North Coast.
