Southern District Police are investigating an incident at Eden Hills, that has left a man and a small girl are in a critical condition in hospital.
Just on midnight on Thursday 16 July, police patrols were called to a home in Kinedana Street, following an urgent call for police assistance.
On arrival, patrols spoke to a woman and as a result they entered in a bedroom door inside the home locating a 43-year-old man and a 3-year-old girl who were both unconscious.
They were both treated at the scene before being taken to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition.
The young girl has since been stabilised and been transferred to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Southern District Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident. The incident is not considered random with all persons involved living at the premises.
Crime Scene examiners are also in attendance at the home.
