Two men attend hospital suffering stab wounds at Shellharbour, NSW

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District have commenced inquiries after two men presented to hospital suffering stab wounds yesterday.

About 8.45pm (Monday 30 November 2020), the men, aged 22 and 26, presented to Shellharbour Hospital suffering stab wounds to the abdomen and back.

Police, who were at the hospital on an unrelated matter, spoke briefly with both men, however, they were un-cooperative.

The younger man was taken to Wollongong Hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition.

The older man was airlifted to St George Hospital and remains in a serious condition.

As inquiries continue, police have established a crime scene at Edith Lacey Park, on Judpooley Parade, Windang.

Lake Illawarra detectives are calling for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity at Edith Lacey Park, about 8.15pm on Monday 30 November 2020, to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
