Two men injured during aggravated break-in, NSW

Investigations continue after two men were injured during an aggravated break-in at a property in the state’s northeast yesterday.

About 10pm (Wednesday 1 July 2020), a group of 10 people, with their faces concealed, attended a property on Lowes Creek Road at Quipolly, and assaulted a 25-year-old man.

The group forced their way into the home, visciously assaulting a second man, aged 49, and ransacking the premises before fleeing in a utility.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

The older man was taken to Quirindi Hospital for treatment to significant facial injuries. He was later transferred to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Investigations continue and police urge anyone with information, including anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident, to contact Quirindi Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
