Two men stabbed after brawl at Auburn, NSW

Detectives have commenced an investigation after two men were stabbed in Sydney’s south west overnight.

About 10.25pm (Saturday 30 October 2021), emergency services were called to Station Street, Auburn, after reports of a stabbing.

Police have been told a group of three men and a separate group of six men – unknown to each other – were at a food outlet at the intersection of Rawson Street and Northumberland Road, when they became involved in a verbal and physical altercation.

The altercation continued outside the shop and along Rawson Street and onto Station Road, before the six men fled the scene.

Officers located the three men – aged 33, 28 and 24 – on Station Road a short time later.

The 33 and 24-year-old men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for stab wounds – the older man to his torso and back and the younger man to his arm – before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established, and detectives from Auburn Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A search of the surrounding area was conducted with assistance from PolAir and the Dog Unit, however the group of six men were unable to be located.
