Two more arrested over Geelong burglaries

Geelong Tasking and Crime Intervention Taskforce (TACIT) detectives have now arrested and charged four men over a series of commercial burglaries committed in the Geelong area since October this year.

Two men, both aged 29-years-old, from Geelong North and Bell Post Hill were taken into custody this morning and have been charged with a variety of offences.

They include, burglary, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage, arson, reckless conduct endangering life, along with drug possession and drug trafficking.

Earlier this week, a 35-year-old man from Herne Hill and a 30-year-old Bannockburn man were arrested and charged with similar offences

The arrests follow police investigations into commercial burglaries at business premises in and around Geelong, along with Winchelsea, Bannockburn and Skipton.

Three of the men have been remanded to appear in Geelong Magistrates’ Court in January next year.

The 29-year-old male from Bell Post Hill is applying for bail at the Geelong Magistrates Court.
