Two teenage boys have been arrested after a public place shooting and pursuit in Sydney’s south west this morning.
About 2am (Tuesday 11 August 2026), officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were called to a home on Sapphire Place, Eagle Vale, after reports of shots fired.
Shortly after, responding police observed and attempted to stop an allegedly stolen white hatchback travelling on Eagle Vale Road.
When the vehicle failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
After a short time later, the vehicle crashed into a tree on Thunderbolt Drive, where three occupants ran from the vehicle.
With the assistance of PolAir, a search was commenced in the nearby area.
A short time later, officers located and arrested two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, nearby on Dakota Place and Thunderbolt Drive, Raby.
They were taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where inquiries continue.
During a search of the stolen vehicle, officers allegedly located and seized a firearm which will undergo forensic examination.
Crime scenes have been established and an investigation into the incidents is underway.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
