Greensborough Highway Patrol officers impounded two vehicles in Lalor overnight.
It’s alleged the two vehicles were driving up to 170km on the Hume Freeway about 2am.
A black Mercedes and a white Chrysler were impounded for 30 days at a cost of $884 each.
A 58-year-old Taylors Lakes man and a 41-year-old Cairnlea man are expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences including drive at a speed dangerous and exceed speed limit by 45km/h or more.
