Two Whyalla arrests linked to bikie gang

A Whyalla couple that allegedly have links to an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have been arrested on drug trafficking charges.

On Wednesday 17 July, police stopped and searched a car at Dublin allegedly locating approximately 170 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine wrapped in duct tape. (pictured)

On Monday 2 September, Detectives from Crime Gangs Task Force searched the same man’s Whyalla Norrie home allegedly finding more $3,000 in cash.

A 36-year-old man from Whyalla Norrie was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug in relation the drugs located in July and unlawful possession of the cash found yesterday.

A 26-year-old woman from Whyalla Playford was also arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, found in July.

They both been bailed to appear Adelaide Magistrates Court on 12 of December on the drug trafficking charge.

While the arrested man will appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on 28 October for unlawful possession.

Crime Gangs Task Force Investigators believe the man arrested is a member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG). SAPOL will continue their concerted efforts to disrupt, disable and dismantle the activities of criminal gangs in South Australia.
