Unit fire at Glenelg, South Australia

Police investigating the cause of a unit fire at Glenelg this evening have determined it as non-suspicious.

Just after 9.30pm tonight (Thursday 25 July), police and fire crews were called to a unit on St Johns Row, after a neighbour reported flames coming from the roof of the unit.

On arrival, the fire was quickly brought under control, but it did cause significant damage. Other neighbouring units were also damaged by the smoke. The male occupant was taken to hospital suffering minor burns and smoke inhalation.

Fire Cause Investigators are attending the scene and while the cause is undetermined, it is not believed to be suspicious.
