Unlawful Consorting Charges

Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged a senior patched member of an outlaw motorcycle gang with the state’s first unlawful consorting offences as part of a continued effort to stamp out criminal gang activity in Western Australia.

The 47-year-old Wakiki man was issued an Unlawful Consorting Notice (UCN) in August 2022, preventing him from consorting with a number of named offenders for a period of three years.

It will be alleged the accused breached the UCN on several occasions between September 2022 and June 2023.

About 6am on Monday 31 July 2023, detectives from the Gang Crime Squad executed a Criminal Investigation Act search warrant at a property in Rockingham.

Upon entry the accused was arrested and charged with six counts of Consorted with a Named Offender on Two or More Occasions.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, 31 July 2023.
