Northern Territory Police are continuing to investigate the deaths of three people at an outstation north of Alice Springs.
Acting Commander Mark Grieve said, “We have directed a large number of resources to this investigation.
“This tragic incident received immediate high level response with ongoing oversight from senior detectives.”
The incident is being investigated in a culturally sensitive way whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the community.
“We are working closely with government and non-government agencies to ensure we prepare a complete and comprehensive report for the Coroner.”
Support services are being offered to family, community members and those involved in the investigation.
“Police will not be releasing any further details of the incident while investigations are ongoing, and we ask that the family’s privacy be respected.”
