Northern Territory Police have formally identified the occupants of a vehicle that crashed in September 2023 near Pine Creek.
The Disaster Identification Team can confirm a 34-year-old man, 34-year-old woman, 9-year-old female, 6-year-old female, 4-year-old female and a 2-year-old female were all located deceased at the crash site.
All of the victims are family members and are from the remote community of Lajamanu.
Commander Peter Kennon said “This tragic incident has resulted in the loss of an entire family and has impacted a huge portion of the community.
“A report is currently being prepared for the Coroner as investigators continue their work to understand how the crash occurred.
“The family of the deceased have requested privacy at this time and at this stage no further information on the identity of the deceased will be provided.”
