Update 6 – Mansfield homicide: Arrest warrants for murder issued for Kyle Martin and Thomas Myler

Detectives investigating the alleged homicide of 23-year-old Levi Johnson at Mansfield on Monday, September 12 have released additional images of two men, Kyle Martin and Thomas Myler, who are wanted for murder.

Police commenced Operation Uniform Challenger after Levi Johnson was allegedly attacked by four men in a car park on Pine Mountain Road at Mansfield just before 1pm on Monday.

Investigations as part of Operation Uniform Challenger remain ongoing with an incident centre established at Upper Mount Gravatt. Detectives are appealing for dash cam footage from

anyone who attended Westfield Carindale on Monday and parked in the following two carparks (see map below):

Carpark area 1: If you entered the carpark via Creek Road and parked in the blue external carpark near the car wash between 12.30pm to 2.10pm please contact police.

Carpark area 2: If you entered the undercover carpark via Winstanley Street and parked in the purple carpark situated near the entrance to Big W between 11am to 1pm please contact police.

Arrest warrants have now been issued for 35-year-old Thomas Myler and 24-year-old Kyle Martin for the offence of murder with the circumstance of aggravation that they were the members of a criminal organisation at the time.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham, Regional Crime Coordinator, Brisbane Region said anyone who harbours or assists either of the two men could potentially face a charge of being an accessory to murder.

Anyone who may have seen the men, or knows their whereabouts, is urged not to approach them but call to immediately call Triple Zero (000).

Two 34-year-old men have been arrested by police and charged with murder and weapons offences.

Police investigations indicate that 23-year-old Levi Johnson was driving a white Mercedes outside of a business located on Pine Mountain Road, when he was confronted by two vehicles, a black Audi A3 hatchback and a white Nissan Patrol. A group of four men exited the vehicles and allegedly assault him, pursuing him across the street, before he collapsed on the corner of Brigadoon Street and Pine Mountain Road.

Emergency Services were notified and immediately attended, rendering first aid at the scene, however he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
