Update 8: Homicide investigation at Mansfield

Detectives have charged a fourth man in relation to the murder of 23-year-old Levi Johnson at Mansfield on Monday, September 12.

Operation Uniform Challenger was established after four men allegedly attacked Mr Johnson in a car park on Pine Mountain Road. He died from his injuries at the scene.

At approximately 9.45pm last night (September 17) detectives with assistance from specialist police including the Special Emergency Response Team surrounded accommodation on Albion Street at Warwick.

A 24-year-old Birkdale man and 24-year-old Wynnum West woman were taken into custody without incident.

The 24-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder (serious organised crime) and is expected to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday, September 19).

The 24-year-old woman is assisting police with enquiries.
