Due to the wet weather, all ACT Government sportsgrounds will remain closed for training today Friday 10 December 2021. Competition match play can still go ahead. Closures include turf sportsgrounds, excluding the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletic track.
Sportsgrounds will re-open to training and match play from tomorrow, Saturday 11 December 2021.
The decision to keep grounds closed for training only today has been taken in order to minimise damage to the turf surfaces and in the interests of public safety.
The ACT Government would like to thank the sports peak bodies and users of the sportsgrounds for their patience whilst grounds remain partially closed today due to the wet weather.
