From Sunday 11th September, repair works will be carried out to the Linkfield Road overpass at Bald Hills following a high load striking the overpass. These works will be carried out from 7pm to 5am (Sundays to Fridays) and expected to be completed by the end of September 2022, weather and conditions permitting.
Road closures
During these times, lane closures will be in place on the following roads:
- Linkfield Road overpass
- Gympie Arterial Road, including southbound off-ramp to Linkfield Road.
To facilitate concrete placement, a full closure will be required from 6pm Saturday 17th September to 8am Sunday 18th September, as well as 5pm Sunday 18th September to 5am Monday 19th September.
Pedestrian and bike rider access will be maintained at all times.
A temporary speed reduction is in place and there is currently no southbound ramp access to Gympie Arterial Road for traffic travelling eastbound on Linkfield Road.
Linkfield Road overpass at Bald Hills remains closed to all vehicles over 4.5 tonnes.
