Update: Break and enters in Gympie, QLD

Gympie Police have charged a man after vision from a break and enter was released and information from the public was provided to police.

It will be alleged a man used a piece of concrete to smash a glass panel in the Monkland Street store at 1.40am on Monday, December 24. The man then kicked out the glass before entering the office area of the business and stealing a sum of cash.

Around 2am the man smashed the front glass door of a tyre store in Mellor Street and stole a sum of money.

The same man also smashed a window to gain entry to a rural business on Hyne Street where he has stolen a sum of cash overnight on December 24.

It will be further alleged at 10pm on Tuesday, December 25, a man entered a fruit shop on Graham Street and removed cash.

At 11.06pm the same night a man used a rock to smash the front glass window of a service station on Mellor Street and stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash.

Police were contacted by a member of the public who supplied information leading to a man been arrested at a Crown Road house at 7am today, December 28.

A 30-year-old Gympie man has been charged with five counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, one count each of producing a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of utensils and the unlawful possession of a restricted drug.

The man will appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court tomorrow, December 28.
