The 25-year-old Millstream man who escaped from police custody on December 29 in Ravenshoe has been captured.
It is alleged, as he was being transitioned into a secure vehicle for transport to the Mareeba Watchhouse, the man fled from police and was last seen running into nearby bushland.
Police chased the man and established cordons with the assistance from the dog squad.
An extensive search of the area was hampered by heavy rain and failed to locate the man.
The man was arrested last night in the Millstream area.
The man has been charged with one count of escape lawful custody, eight counts of obstructing a police officer and two counts of trespass.
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrate court later today.
