Northern Territory Police are continuing to investigate a fatal crash in the Southern Desert Region last week.
Just before 2pm on Tuesday 19 March, police received a report of a deceased man by the side of the Stuart Highway, approximately 25 kilometres north of Devils Marbles.
The deceased has now been formally identified as a 37-year-old local man, who police believe fell from the vehicle.
At this stage in the investigation, it appears the driver of the vehicle was unaware of the man’s presence on the commercial vehicle.
Investigators believe the deceased was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
All persons involved are co-operating with police enquires and CCTV has been made available as a file is prepared for the Coroner.
