A number of residents have returned to their apartments, while others have relocated due to structural concerns of their units in Sydney Olympic park today.

About 2.45pm (24 December 2018) a multi-agency operation commenced after concerns were raised about the structural integrity of a wall in 38-storey building at Sydney Olympic Park.

As a precaution, about 300 residents from the building and two neighbouring buildings were evacuated to the showground at Sydney Olympic Park.

Meanwhile, 51 units have been declared structurally unsafe. Residents of these units have been escorted back to gather their belongings and have made their own arrangements for accommodation.

Engineers and building managers remain on scene.
