Update on Council services with lifting of LGA lockdown – Business as usual from Saturday 18 Sept

We will return to business as usual, from Saturday 18 September 2021. All services will operate in accordance with the Public Health Order. This is in line with the state government’s announcement lifting our regions lockdown, as of 1pm Thur 16 Sept 2021.

Our Visitor Centres in Cooma and Bombala will open from Saturday – great timing for school holidays starting and being able to welcome visitors from other LGAs not in lockdown at this point, such as our neighbours in Bega and Snowy Valleys.

Libraries and library services will reopen and the click and collect service will also be available.

Scrapmarts and waste facilities will open again from Saturday on their normal opening schedule.

See website for full details: https://www.snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au/141/Waste-and-Recycling

Council’s Customer Service Offices will open as of Monday 8.30am. This applies to the four offices in Cooma, Bombala, Jindabyne and Berridale.

If you are visiting a council facility please ensure you continue to:

– use the QR checkin (ServiceNSW)

– wear a mask indoors

– physically distance by 1.5m minimum

– sanitise

– minimise the use of cash where possible

Please note, Jindabyne pool will not reopen yet due to the previously existing mould issues that are currently being addressed.

We wish all the businesses in our region who are reopening, a smooth transition under these new restrictions out of the official lockdown.

Please ensure you continue to do the right thing and play your part in keeping us open. Get vaccinated and abide by the Public Health Order. We want to stay open now, not go on the rollercoaster that we have already seen other regional areas go through in the past week.
