Update: Wounding investigation at Beerwah, QLD

A woman has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed at Beerwah on December 23.

It will be alleged four people, two women and two men, attended an address on Old Gympie Road at around 8.30pm.

One of the women had a verbal dispute with a 38-year-old male occupant of the residence during which time it will be alleged he was stabbed several times to his head and torso.

The group of four then left in a vehicle which was later located by police at Nambour.

A 36-year-old Nambour woman has since been arrested and charged with wounding and possession of a knife in a public place.

She is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today (December 28).

The 38-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
