Updated Arrivals Associated Direction 22 December, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 9) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 10) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 2.41pm on 22 December 2021.

Key changes include:

All people coming from Low Risk areas are no longer required to symptom check via the HealthCheck SA App.

For people who are, or who are travelling with, persons less than 12 years and 2 months of age—including Cross Border Community members who travel beyond the Cross Border Corridor in South Australia—have the following entry requirements:

  • Negative test result 72 hours prior to arrival in South Australia

To see the full list of entry requirements, visit: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/travel/entrycheck-sa

If you are directed to quarantine at home (or anywhere not in a medi-hotel), you need to travel directly to your place of quarantine and you need to remain there during your directed quarantine period, unless:

  • For the purposes of obtaining medical care or medical supplies; or
  • In an emergency situation; or
  • Receive approval in advance by the State Co-ordinator or his delegate or an authorised officer; or
  • To get a COVID-19 PCR test.

If you need to leave for any of these reasons, wear a mask and notify staff you are in quarantine.

You need to ensure you do not have contact with other people while quarantining and you need to ensure no one else enters or stays at the place you are quarantining, unless:

  • they usually live there*; or
  • they are also in quarantine; or
  • you need to provide care or support to them, or receive care or support from them; or
  • the person is required for medical or emergency purposes.

*If the persons who live with you are not required to quarantine, you need to ensure you are not in the same room as them in the home at all times.
