The Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 10) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 11) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 6.08pm on 26 December 2021.
Key changes include:
Testing Requirements:
All travellers to South Australia, except Very Low Risk arrivals, need to obtain a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or a negative COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival.
High Risk and International arrivals are required—among other entry conditions—to quarantine and test on day 1 of arrival, on day 6 after arrival, and on day 13 after arrival. The tests for days 1 and 6 need to be COVID-19 PCR tests, while the 13th day can be either a COVID-19 RAT or a COVID-19 PCR test.

Close Contacts:
A person is prohibited from entering South Australia if they are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case interstate. If a person after entering South Australia becomes aware they are a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case interstate, they must comply with the requirements of the Emergency Management (Exposure Sites, Contacts and Diagnosis Requirements) COVID-19) Direction 2021.
