Updated COVID-19 Directions 2020 – Residential Aged Care Facilities No 10, South Australia

A minor update has been made to Residential Aged Care restrictions in South Australia.

The Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 9) (COVID-19) Direction 2020 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 10) (COVID-19) Direction 2020. This new Direction comes into effect at 0001 Saturday 3 October 2020.

This minor change has taken place to clarify the requirement for COVID-19 testing of people wishing to enter a Residential Aged Care Facility from Victoria. People who are awaiting routine COVID-19 test results as a consequence of a Direction pursuant to the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel) Direction 2020 are permitted to enter the Facility.

It is acknowledged that many restrictions still apply, but they are critical in dealing with the spread of COVID-19.
