- $1.8 million worth of upgrades to Plantagenet Cranbrook Emergency Department (ED) complete
- Cook Government investment sees additional treatment bays and new and improved staff work areas
- Stage two works now underway to better configure the ED, wards and outpatient areas
The Emergency Department (ED) at Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service has received a $1.8 million refurbishment.
The new and improved ED includes two new acute treatment bays, a resuscitation treatment bay, an ambulance airlock, new nursing station, and refurbished utility and service rooms.
The new treatment bays and staff area ensure our highly committed healthcare staff are able to focus on providing the best possible care, in a more functional and efficient environment.
Stage two works are already underway and will see the addition of a new ambulance bay and contemporary reconfiguration of the ED, wards and outpatient areas.
Once complete, the redevelopment will see Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service transformed into a contemporary, fit-for-purpose facility.
As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:
“Works to upgrade the ED at Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service are part of the Cook Government’s commitment to modernising country hospitals and health services.
“Additional works will improve the overall configuration of the site, making it easier for staff and patients to access the hospital.
“The new staff spaces are more functional, making it more convenient for healthcare teams to go about their day-to-day duties.”
