Upgrading boat ramp car park in Chain Valley Bay

Council is upgrading the Chain Valley Bay boat ramp carpark at Mulloway Reserve to provide safer and easier access to the waterways of Lake Macquarie for boating and fishing enthusiasts.

Works involve the construction of a new, sealed carpark with formal line marking and signage to accommodate 12 car and 12 car-trailer parking spaces, turning and approach bay, bollard fencing and a derigging area.

This upgrade will provide a safe and functional recreational asset for the community and visitors to our region to support the boat ramp, jetty and use of the adjoining foreshore reserve, picnic area and playspace.

This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Central Coast Council.

Works are scheduled for completion in August 2022 (weather permitting) and the boat ramp carpark will be closed during this time. The nearest public boat ramp is at Lloyd Ave, Chain Valley Bay South or Gamban Road, Gwandalan.

We thank you for your patience while we work to improve this space.
